The Hemlock is the newest tiny house of Hocking Hills Tiny Houses and is the perfect place for a solo traveler or couple to stay. It's located in a secluded area surrounded by trees near Lake Logan. A quick drive will bring you to restaurants and shopping. Even though it's tiny, my husband and I were surprised to find everything we needed and more. We also loved how it has a cozy cabin feel. I'm so excited to share this special place with you all!
I would like to start out by thanking Hocking Hills Tiny Houses for being an outstanding host, and as always all opinions are my own.
Fresh Air
When we first drove up the driveway and spotted The Hemlock tiny house, I instantly fell in love. The style of the tiny house has so much simplicity and beauty. We loved the large deck with a picnic table and firepit. Even though we stayed in December, it was abnormally warm on our first day, so it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The warm fire to end the night was also incredible. There are neighbors nearby, but the owners made sure to plant some trees for more privacy. I do want to add that the driveway is on the steeper side, so if there's snow, the owners do recommend that you have an AWD or 4WD car.
Relax and Sleep
When we first entered the house, we were in awe of the floor-to-ceiling window that has a view of the woods. It really made me feel more connected to nature and makes the house an even more peaceful place to stay. The queen size bed is located right next to the window giving you a unique experience of just laying in bed and enjoying the view. It's the perfect spot for a cup of coffee and book reading. It has a shade that's operated by a remote for privacy as well. We loved sleeping and waking up here.
Eat
The kitchen area is impressive. We were so surprised to see that we had everything we needed to make a meal. In this tiny but functional space, you'll find a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, oven, induction stovetop, and all the cookware you'll need. We enjoyed making soup after a chilly day of hiking to warm up. While we were eating at the table, we enjoyed watching 2 deer from the large window.
The Bathroom
We were really impressed with how large the bathroom was. There's a small space across from the shower that's perfect for storage and placing your luggage. The bathroom was also stocked with everything we needed- shampoo, soap, makeup remover, and even q-tips. The towels were so fluffy and made us feel like we were staying at a 5-star hotel. I also want to mention there's heated flooring! My husband and I talked about how hard it's going to be going home to cold bathroom floors after this experience.
